Re-evaluating

Good morning loves. I officially have 3 1/2 months to look bangin' in this bathing suit in Hawaii


There's no way I could wear that bathing suit right now. None. I had a little chit chat with my body this morning. I told it it needs to speak up and tell me what the shiz it wants me to do.

I am currently repeating Phase 2 of the Live Fit trainer. I was told (by James) that it is not advised to move on to Phase 3 until I'm 10lbs away from my goal weight. Well, guess what kids? I'm 25 lbs away... and that scale is not budging. I'm repeating Phase 2 in hopes that I can build some more muscle and drop some of this fat. I'm following the eating plan to a "T". I've been patient as the scale stays in the same 3 lb range, but I'm sick of these mid 150's and want out of here. So, I'm re-evaluating my eating plan and workouts to see if this helps.

My plan: 

Meals:
- I'm reducing my carbs. Nothing crazy....but I want to see how my body reacts to this change. I plan on still having my yummy bowls of oatmeal in the morning, but for meals 2 and 3, I'm going to get my carbs from veggies like broccoli and opposed to brown rice, rice cakes or protein bars. Meal 4 is my pre-workout meal, so I will incorporate carbs here, however I'm going to reduce them. Instead of 3/4c. of brown rice, I'll try 1/3c. and see how my body feels. If I'm hungry or feeling sluggish, I'll know this isn't working and I'll adjust them. Meals 5 and 6 aren't supposed to include carbs anyways, so those will remain the same.
-I'm going to try and keep my sugars under 20grams a day. I've already been trying to do this and it's not difficult for me.

Workout:
Alrigghhhht. I get it. I need to kick up my workouts.
- From now on, I'm going to incorporate active rests in between my weight sets. I don't care if people look at me like I'm crazy when I'm jumping rope, doing jumping jacks or burpees.
-I'm also going to try and incorporate additional cardio. Matt and I workout together and he can only handle about 20min of cardio before he's ready to leave. I need more than that to drop this fat. I am going to start going to the gym in the mornings for an additional 45 minutes of cardio. Matt thinks I'm crazy. I'm already so tired in the mornings, so he doesn't think I'll be able to get up at 5am and head to the gym. No problem. I love proving people wrong and he doesn't understand how bad I want a lean body. I guess posting it here means I have to do it now, right? ;) I do love our mornings together though, so that part of it will be tough for me :(

This morning the scale read 155.6 lbs. I'm going to incorporate these changes and weigh myself again next Friday and see where I'm at.

  1. I love Fit Radio!! Don't you wonder how you ever worked out without it? It saves my cardio sessions every.single.time. Super cute bathing suit! You have lots of time to get into that bad boy! You can do it!
